Great event highlight taking place from 06 to 13 April 2013: we warmly welcome you to Sölden’s splendid Gay Snow Happening! A truly sensational week is on the program, offering a wide range of action-packed events and fun-filled ski or snowboard days on immaculate slopes. Jovial hut evenings, endless party nights until the early morning and many new friends await you here.

Already for the 15th time, queer winter sports fans and snow friends will get together at Europe’s hottest Gay Ski Week!

The 2013 Gay Snow Happening will see an undisputed highlight: for the very first time you have the unique chance to visit the avant-garde theater spectacle “Hannibal” performed on the Rettenbach Glacier Stage on Friday, 12 April. What’s best, the admission to the event is already included in the Gay Snow Happening Event Pass. Snow-grooming machines are elephants, skiers in the role of modern warriors, climbers and parachutists enter the scene as well. Riders on skidoos cross the Alpine glacier landscape while flight acrobats try to hinder them heading towards the South. A truly outstanding spectacle featuring top-notch light effects, music and video shows coupled with pyrotechnical attractions. As always, a great entertainment program is scheduled for the entire week: all efforts will be rewarded! Don’t miss the legendary Hut Evening at Annemarie’s Hühnersteign, the splendid Sinners Party from Munich, countless live gigs of internationally renowned top DJs from Cologne, Munich and Tel Aviv – promising unforgettable party nights on the occasion of the 15th edition of the Gay Snow Happening. Of course you can also join daily ski guiding adventures in a group, après-ski fun, final fun races, moonlight bowling nights, plus many more highlights! Also in 2013 the famous Drag Queens Melli Magic and Mataina from Berlin will appear as incomparable drag artists on Sölden’s wonderful stage - performing their both charming and funny entertainment show.

Sölden's ultimate Gay Snow Happening ranks among the undisputed highlights of all queer skiing weeks. In its 15th year, once again skiing fans and night owls from all over Europe will get together on the occasion of the unique Gay Snow Happening at the heart of the Tirolean Ötztal Valley. The event has been attracting more and more fans every year. In 2012 about 600 fans came together in the Ötztal.

You can choose from après-ski afternoons, quaint mountain hut evenings or never ending nightlife fun: a varied rainbow program offers everything a gay's heart could possibly desire - Boredom is unknown! A certified team takes care of the fun-filled activity and entertainment program, organized by ÖTZTAL Tourismus in collaboration with Tom on Tour.

Last but not least: Sölden boasts incredible 150 km of immaculate slopes where snow is always guaranteed on varied top-to-bottom ski runs until late spring! Already in the morning passionate skiers and snowboarders can conquer the ski area's highest peaks and explore the great variety of perfectly groomed ski slopes in a group - either in the winter ski area or on the glacier slopes. But there are also plenty of adventurous routes for beginners and slightly advanced. And what's best, the entertaining sports program is not a must, everyone can spend the day among friends or hit the slopes alone or in small groups. But when the day comes to an end, party people will get together at the glorious après-ski locations. After a quick shower in the hotel and a tasty dinner menu you explore Sölden's unlimited nightlife: a myriad of program highlights and entertaining parties can be found all around the village!
